Colonial Williamsburg and Mount Vernon: A Journey Into the 18th Century (TT21001)
with MLSN Staff
On this three day excursion, explore two iconic landmarks: Mt. Vernon and Colonial Williamsburg. Your journey begins at George Washington’s estate on the Potomac, home to some of the most storied moments in American history, where you’ll tour the grounds and mansion, followed by a three-course lunch at the Historic Mt. Vernon Inn. Then travel to the Woodlands Hotel in Colonial Williamsburg and where your light dinner will be followed by a special presentation: “Colonial Clothing and Life,” by MLSN instructor Kyra Zapf. On the second day you’ll have the day to explore the historic area, choosing your own adventure: observe historic trade demonstrations, browse authentic colonial shops, and engage with costumed interpreters who bring the past to life. To complete the experience, you’ll savor a memorable dinner at a historic tavern, enjoying both the authentic colonial ambiance and cuisine.
