Enjoy playing Canasta, a card game in the rummy family. Beginners learn the fundamentals of play and winning strategies so you can join in the fun of playing this widely popular game. Strategy classes are designed to improve success for players with at least 3 months' experience. In all classes, we play Modern American canasta where you cannot discard a wild card.

Connect with others who share your love of Canasta in a welcoming and engaging atmosphere. The Canasta Club meets every other week. Please note: This is not an instructional class; students should know the basic rules of Canasta. MLSN cannot guarantee tables of four.

Flex your general knowledge muscle in the same categories as the popular game -geography, entertainment, history, art and literature, science and nature and sports and leisure. The questions will all be new so spending your summer playing the game doesn’t guarantee success, only fun. Bring friends or come solo and team up with others. Light refreshments provided.
